This pillow cover is a copy of some of the artwork that made Fornasetti popular. It has a black graphic of a woman's head/face in the mouth of an alligator. It will definitely elicit attention! The fabric is a durable, woven linen cotton in a natural tone. An excellent value for the money!
The pillow measures approximately 17 1/2" x 17 1/2". An 18-20" pillow form should work fine, depending upon how full you'd like it to be.
Do not iron directly on fabric; use a pressing cloth. The iron will possibly damage the fibers.
Wash by hand and air dry or spot clean.
Just FYI: Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988) was an Italian painter, sculptor, interior decorator & engraver.
He created more than 11,000 items, many featuring the face of operatic soprano, Lina Cavalieri, whose face he had found in a 19th-century magazine. “What inspired me to create more than 500 variations on the face of a woman?” asks Italian designer, Piero Fornasetti of himself. “I don’t know,” he admits, “I began to make them and I never stopped.”
